Having had good service from Luke Goodman at the Vic Blackburn Store previously, I asked for him again. Thanks Sydney tool, very happy with service. I've used Sydney Tools twice. Much cheaper than I could get locally.Very well packed and plastic wrapped with fast shipping (2-3 days). I was then told that Sydney tool do not offer any refunds! Kit not in stock! Its LAW . This happens with any company. Both items were delivered undamaged and on time. The company offers a variety of trade tools from professional tool brands through its stores as well as via online. man hard company to get an exchange with with minor cosmetic issues i have a feeling they will just brush me off :(, managed to get it swapped workers were like whats the problem after a short conversation the boss told them to just give me a new one so they took a brand new one out of the Hitachi tipple impact skins and replaced mine with that one bit of banter over the small cosmetic issue problem but at least i got it swapped. Yes I am only 1 post so far, I am so angry I signed up just for a rant at these guys as I am utterly helpless to see any progress on the matter! I had a pretty woeful experience with Sydney tools a couple of years ago. It seems that so many dozens of people who have ordered through them have been forced to wait 3- 5 weeks or even much longer to receive their item when they were quotes 3- 5 days without any communication from the company. I was just one click away to place my order worth around $260. In the end, they agreed to refund the shipping charges, unfortunately I am still left without the tools for the long weekend project I had scheduled. So if you want to discredit a post bring proof to the opposite. Shipped 1 week later. The online store is a bloody disgrace. An important message from our CEO Paul Dumbrell. It'll be interesting to see how they fare against the nearby Bunnings, and probably more relevant, the newish Total Tools. Very poor communication and some outright lies about shipping. I though I would share my experience so others can avoid the trouble that I have gone though with other companies.. Pros. Ordered on Friday and it still hasn't been dispatched. there isnt a lot of it.But if you want cheap tools, and dont mind waiting, then they are OK.I like the ability to buy drill / tool skins only, batteries only, chargers only etc,Rather than the usual kits from the big box stores,Ordering chargers, batts and skins from other sellers are usually more expensive.Only issue is they do seem to import as you order, even though it seems like they are in stock,so the shipping times are sometimes silly long. I noticed they had a sign up in the store that suggested they had a 5.0 star rating on google reviews. The Makita cordless grinder for example, one model has an anti resistance cut off feature that was promoted to me by the salesman as an improvement. Never take the Sydney Tools 'bad staff attitude' personally. (they have had $4-5K from me todate). Only for most of it to be rubbish quality. Overall, a pleasant transaction. Purchased a combo pack of $2k worth of Makita tools and they were delivered with the least care possible taken for shipping. Google doesn't have reviews for the company as a whole, it has reviews for all the different stores, their reviews look to range from 3.5 to 4.5 stars. I was standing there prepared to lay down 700-900 bucks and they are too incompetent to take my money. 1. on the 30/8/17 I sent them another email "where is my jack Sydney tools" On 1/9/17 I received an email saying they had dispatched my jack. Under Australian Consumer Law, if you have a major problem with a product, you have the right to ask for your choice of a replacement or refund. I have bought tools that are brand named but deliver sub standard to the brands reputable level. Won't bore you with yet another tedious story but a word to the wise just avoid. "Alternative facts". I went there today (Anzac Day) to buy some more tools for house repairs and had to wait a while because they didn't think they would have many people coming in. Don't waste your time. Their free freight deal is pretty good considering where I live and the associated costs. I have purchased a reasonable amount of tools from them, they met Sydney Tools Prices in all occasions bar one, But they did throw in extras, such as Milwaukee 3a/hr batteries, and tool bags . Sure ive butted heads with a number of rude or unhelpful staff, but i was also fortunate enough to come across a gentleman who went above and beyond to deliver me outstanding customer service and has now earned my respect and business. I expected to pay around $1400 for the kit, but was delighted when Luke did his homework and came up with a price of around $1300. It has the option to buy the entire business within the next three years. Reputable companies are usually of a size and scale where they can afford to self-insure in situations like these. Well said. Its not really when you think about how "bad agents" work.Sign up to as many sites as possible and post false information without building up a reputation. The invoice patch on the box had a delivery docket inserted however for redemption purposes Makita require a copy of the invoice itself and won't accept the delivery docket as proof. I was never told and then promised a call back which never happened. After that I have documented everything and can always dispute through paypal who I have always found take the buyers side in these kind of disputes. Thank you guys for the heads up about their poor customer service.
