It does very little damage on it's own but lets you tap in to that 'on fire' damage boost. 
I love your work! The only thing that won't work is that you won't find items added by a mod enchanted with Summermyst enchantments in the wild. (note: you need extra effect from the enchanting tree, and I'd also recommend the Helmetless Combat Perks mod [idk who the author of it is]).
